Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® (HPwES) through New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) helps you to save energy, take control of your energy use and make your home more comfortable year-round. It's easy!
1. Apply for a Comprehensive Home Energy Assessment

2. Select a Participating Home Performance Contractor.
In addition to measuring your home's energy performance, the BPI certified energy auditor will conduct important health and safety tests to ensure major combustion appliances are operating properly. |
3. Get Preapproved for NYSERDA Financing and Incentives
Complete NYSERDA financing and incentive application to help pay for energy saving eligible measures (PDF). |
5. Test-Out & Sign Certificate of Completion
Contractor tests again to measure results and completion documents are signed. Contractor is paid directly for NYSERDA funded portion. |
