The AHP Homeownership Center offers programs to promote successful and affordable homeownership in New York's Capital Region. Our mission is to strengthen neighborhoods and the financial independence of residents through advisement, financial resources, community organizing and collaboration.
For any Capital Region resident who wants to be a smart and successful homeowner, AHP offers professional, unbiased advice through classes and one-on-one coaching that puts homebuyers and owners fully in charge of the complex process of purchasing and owning a home. We connect over 1000 households a year to financial resources such as down payment assistance, good loan products and energy efficiency programs. AHP programs meet the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling.
The Affordable Housing Partnership has integrated its programs with the non-profit housing development company the Albany Community Land Trust, and the social purpose real estate company Community Realty, to provide comprehensive services for successful and affordable homeownership and rental housing. AHP is actively engaged in our community and supports planning work and neighborhood organizing in our Sheridan Hollow neighborhood. Click here to learn about other Homeownership Center partnerships.
